O’Neill Brothers’ Piano Music
Lands on the Billboard Charts
NEW PRAGUE, MN (February 14, 2005) — Independent piano-
playing brothers Tim and Ryan O’Neill received an extra-
special Valentine’s Day gift this year: their compilation
of romantic piano music hit the Billboard charts.

From the Heart,
the O’Neill Brothers’ three-CD collection sold
via their popular appearances on
QVC, took the 30th
spot on Billboard’s February 19 Pop Album catalog chart. (Billboard’s catalog charts measure sales of reissues of
albums or CDs first released two years ago or earlier.
From the Heart was originally released in 2000.)
According to Gordon Murray, Billboard chart manager, it’s
unusual for New Age artists – and particularly artists
that aren’t exactly household names – to hit the catalog
chart. “It’s mostly best-selling acts, multi-platinum
acts,” Murray says. “Just about everyone they’re
surrounded by is very famous and very big-selling.” The
O'Neill's share space on the chart with artists such as Ray
Charles, Josh Groban, and Celine Dion.
“We’re thrilled to have made the Billboard charts, ” says
Tim O’Neill. “And we’re especially excited that our
growing number of fans now includes the thousands and
thousands of QVC viewers who have recently discovered our
music. They’re the ones who helped us reach this really
exciting milestone in our career.”
Previously, the O’Neill Brothers ranked 95th on the August
14, 2004, Billboard Comprehensive Album Chart with their
Holiday CD Collection (also featured on QVC), just above
Britney Spears’ latest release.
From the Heart features solo piano versions of 49 well-
known and original romantic tunes including Music Box
Dancer, Candle in the Wind, and My Heart Will Go On from
Titanic.
Tim and Ryan O’Neill have sold more than one million CDs —
without being associated with a major record label. Along
the way, the brothers have written and performed music for
HBO (including music for “Sex and the City”), NBC and
ESPN; and performed for President George H.W. Bush.
